I recently created this design for customers who wanted a pair of arm-chairs to go along with the Rhode Island Fan-back side chairs they were ordering. The chair uses the same seat and turnings found on my Rhode Land Comb-back and Continuous-Arm chairs. The finished chair is very beautiful, and I am quite pleased with it. I think that the chair works well as either a single accent piece or as part of a group of chairs.

Please note, as this chair is built it is quite comfortable. However, for myself I like a chair I can lounge in and find that I prefer the wider seat of the Nantucket Arm-chair. So for those of you who want a roomier seat, the Rhode Island Fan-back is also available with a two inch wider seat. Just make sure that I know that you want the wider version of this chair when you place your order.
