 | I hadn't thought about making miniature Windsors until I was asked by the White House to make one to be used as a Christmas ornament for the Blue Room christmas tree. Which isn't exactly true, I did think of it earlier, but as I get busier and busier, I have less time for hare-brained schemes and have to wait until the hare-brained scheme becomes a modest request of a customer with cash in hand. Which is a long winded way of saying, I now make miniature windsors in several styles. My sackback armchair miniature is an exact duplicate of my full sized chair. The quarter scale seat, legs, and stretches are turned to the same bold New York pattern. The graceful arm and back bows are 3/16" in diameter. All spindles and legs are through wedged with small, hardwood wedges. Painted with your choice of milkpaint colors, this miniature is a perfect addition to your mantle or desk. |
