Each year Early American Life Magazine showcases the work of American's top craftsmen in their Directory of Traditional American Crafts. Craftsmen listen in EAL's Directory have had their work juried by some of the country's best experts and museum curators knowledgeable about traditional craft. Over the years I have been honored to be listed in Early American Life Magazine's Directory of Traditional American Crafts on a number of occasions.
In 1999 I was asked to create a christmas ornament for the White House Christmas Tree by Mrs. Clinton. In response to her request, I designed and built the first of my miniature Windsor chairs. When complete it stood 9'/4" high, and exact 1/4 scale model of the full-sized chair. If I squint when I look at the photograph of the tree, I can see the little chair happily on the side of the tree.
